"I would like to think that I can write songs where the melody would stick in peoples' heads for more than a few minutes..."

As a kid growing up in rural Southern Maryland I started out listening to music on radio - then moved onto foreign broadcasts to hear international stations that would play rock 'n' roll like Radio Luxembourg.  I used to think - I need to be there - it sounds like a cool place away from Maryland - get me out of here!  Got my first guitar at age 8 and taught myself chords then moved onto bass and eventually piano.  Purchased tape recorders early on to experiment with recording techniques and capturing  songs that I wrote.  Later I started acquiring analog  studio equipment.  The gear and home studios progressed and now SKYVIEW is the place where I work with other musicians overlooking the Shenandoah Valley.

Bands came and went - never lasting for more than a couple of years.  Performed 70's/80's/90's rock and even some country in between.  There were many influences like Brit pop and untraditional B-side rock songs.  Tried to capture impressions in words and music from my foreign travels, especially from Europe.

Would like to think I can write songs where the melody would stick in peoples’ heads for more than a few minutes and hopefully they could relate to what I was saying.  And then, maybe some might like the song enough to remember it.  Writing and recording music - that's still the goal.
